I began my employment in libraries almost 20 years ago and their evolving nature keeps me interested and engaged in this work. I have been employed in Access Services, Acquisitions, Digital Imaging, Outreach, Reference & Instruction, and Special Collections. Working in so many departments and attending the Information School at the University of Washington has provided me with a holistic and solid understanding of librarianship. Currently I am enjoying leading and managing the Access Services department at the Campus Library which serves both the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College.
I am eager to further my knowledge and experience in library work because I believe strongly in universal literacy and lifelong learning. What I have always loved about being an information professional is empowering people with the skills to access, evaluate, use, and enjoy information. This passion has served me well in the academic libraries I have worked in and I look forward to applying my experience to public or special libraries.
